Holt Upgrades Transition Exhibit Space Between Lobby and Aquarium
The Catawba Science Center asked Holt Experiential to complete the design of their “Land To Sea” exhibit room that acts as an interpretive transition space from their Aquarium building lobby and the Aquarium habitats.
They wanted Holt to tie together and upgrade the look of existing habitats and displays within the Land To Sea room, including a Herpetarium Room, Tortoise habitat, Coral Reef info spinner display, Coral Reef fish tank, and an Iguana terrarium.
Holt designed, fabricated, and installed a cohesive design solution that includes wall finishes, custom wood cabinetry, vinyl mural graphics, info graphics, 3D letter signage, and props, with graphic content that speaks about climate change, conservation, and plastic waste.
Plus, Holt created a new exhibit of a miniature field office climate outpost with several videos and Holt-built interactives, including a real tornado interactive and a video selected by a rotating oversize cog with hidden RFID sensors.
