Inmar Innovation Lab, Winston-Salem, NC – from Initial 2014 Ideation to Today
The 2014 concept designs for the Inmar Innovation Lab included vignettes for key Inmar vertical markets and a central conference room dubbed “the nest.”
In 2016 the Inmar Innovation Lab in Winston-Salem, North Carolina was launched, helping to bring alive Inmar’s brand to key clients, partners, and employees. The Innovation Lab was created as a setting to foster collaborate discussions to solve clients’ challenges in technology, industry, and business. The lab was a key reason Inmar was named a 2016 finalist for the Innovation Workplace Award by the North Carolina Technology Association. Holt Experiential designed this dynamic setting with a 25 foot multi-touch wall, demonstration stations, other interactive tech, and environmental graphics. “Clients leave our Lab having engaged in dialogue on the future of the industry and with a tangible understanding that Inmar is an innovative ally for the journey,” said former Inmar Chairman and CEO David Mounts.
2019: Rather than a full redo, Holt refreshed the Innovation Lab with Inmar’s new logo and branding, plus updates to some furniture and lighting.

Holt has designed, built, installed, and managed Inmar exhibits for dozens of events throughout the U.S. Inmar’s needs range from modular and custom island exhibits, inline modular exhibits, portable displays, and digital marketing services.
Holt Experiential consistently provides Inmar with our traveling technicians all over the country to help provide the utmost in customer service and experience. Inmar Corporate Events, Designed, Built + Installed By Holt Experiential
Holt Experiential has amplified the Inmar brand at temporary event venues, creating stronger relationships among employees and industry leaders at their own retail events. Holt participated in event planning, then provided various branded event structures.
Inmar Analytics Forum, Winston-Salem 2015
While the majority of the 2015 Inmar Analytics Forum was held off site at other venues in Winston-Salem, Inmar asked Holt Experiential to create a special event-within-the-event to be hosted at Inmar’s headquarters in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter.
Holt designed and installed an all-Inmar mini-trade show, within their yet-to-be up-fitted Innovation Lab space, with five inline vignettes to help bring to life stories about key Inmar vertical markets where shoppers could be engaged by manufacturers and retailers: Home, Promotions, Healthcare, Retail, and Supply Chain. These 10 x 20 and 10 x 30 foot vignettes included custom and modular exhibit elements and were often staged with furniture, prop products, and AV technology to more realistically portray their markets. The space was set up in a sequential path that easily allowed for Inmar’s sales and marketing staff to lead guests through the “shopper journey”. The culmination of this tour through the vignettes ended at the Office area, the purpose of which was to demonstrate Inmar’s data analytics software platforms.
Holt capped off the room by installing colorful, serpentine LED ceiling lights that added energy and creativity to the space. The design of these custom light fixtures was meant to simulate “data streams” in Inmar’s three main brand colors.
After the Forum event, the space used for this mini-trade show was turned into the more permanent iteration of Inmar’s Innovation Lab, which Holt designed and installed in 2016.

As long-time event design and execution partners, Holt was able to cost-effectively re-skin Inmar-owned exhibits that Holt manages, design and build smaller new custom elements, establish the Inmar brand in a guest registration zone, and thematically brand breakout and transition areas. Holt also extended the Inmar brand with other graphics added to the convention space, including window graphics featuring event icons on the convention center entrance doors that helped set the stage right from the start.
Holt also provided on-site installation and dismantle services, delivering all exhibit assets right from their main facility in North Carolina.
